Training
Curriculum
The HeartWorks Program consists of four training modules.
They are offered as a complete series (the recommended approach) or as stand-alone
modules. These are "tried-and-true" learning experiences that will, if supported
by reasonable follow-up, make a real difference in the evolution of your organization.
They are:
The Compassionate Workplace.
Here we learn to work with the full "vocabulary of emotions" so that we can
recognize and respond appropriately to verbal and non-verbal cues. This includes learning
how to create resonance with co-workers; how to reduce stress and manage our own emotions
in a healthy way; and how to achieve balance in the midst of lifes chaos. Click here for more information.
I Hear You. Although rarely
taught in school, the ability to listen to others is just as important to a shared
enterprise as knowing how to state our own position. In this module we learn how to
solicit accurate information from others, how to discover "what isnt being
said," and how to make others feel heard. Click here for more
information.
Teaming Up. Collaboration is a
dynamic balance of assertiveness and cooperation. Through a series of powerful and
entertaining scenarios we learn how to work with our competitive (or passive) impulses, to
value the contributions of others and to forge genuine bonds with our friends and
colleagues. Click here for more information.
Managing Conflict. One of the
hallmarks of a good manager is knowing how to help resolve conflicts among employees. This
unit explains the many human responses to conflict in terms of twelve
"archetypes" and teaches four different strategies for resolving conflicts of
any kind. Click here for more information.
